I can see this as being an honest mistake. It's a foreign family, don't speak much English, and in the scramble to catch the next flight, everyone thought that someone else had him. At least it turned out ok. And kudos and props to Air Canada for taking care of the child, covering the cost of the 2 additional flights, and being so great about the situation.

i wish i could say the same, but i can kind of understand. we left my little sister at a gas station once on a camping trip. we were at least 2 miles down the road before we realized she was missing

Well I wouldn't call it "best" for that poor kid!

I still say that no flight on earth is more important than my little girls!

True... if you're going to get lost or miss a plane, you do it as a family... NEVER leave a member behind, especially a child... The kid didn't even speak the native language! You gotta keep an eye on them youngsters...

But, I'm not as sympathetic as SOTO. I find it difficult to understand how somebody forgets their child especially in someplace like an airport where they should be watched every second.

We had a story out of SLC, where a couple left their baby in the car to go shopping. Security busted out the window and the kid was dehydrated and sick. He is fine, but geez. The real kicker was this happened on Mother's Day.
you sure are tempting me to pull a trick

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its coming soon just u wait

As someone who probably travels more in 6-9 months than the entire board put together (At least I like to think so, anyway ) I easily could see this happen.

The family sounds like they were far from malicious, and it was an honest mistake -not to mention being in a foregin country where everything is insane and every mistake you make seems to multiply by one hundred.

If you spend enough time in airports, you can see damn near anything. I know I have.
