Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Today I woke with a severe pain in my breast, and got into see my doctor first thing. She recommended me to a specialist, who in turn has booked me in for a mammogram and ultra-sound.
So my query to the female members is this; Have you had a mammogram? Does it hurt? Anyone else experienced a similar situation?
Thanks in advance ladies for your feedback.

I am so sorry you're going through this! I have never had a mammogram personally, but have heard that they hurt... I hope it's not too bad and doesn't make your existing pain worse
You're in my thoughts and prayers... please keep us posted.
It's uncomfortable, but not painful (I get everything checked out. Cancer runs in my family). Being larger, it might be a bit more uncomfortable. Hopefully, you'll get a good tech---respectful and understanding.
Kap, I posted this in the Cafe.
It really doesn't take a long time. Two views on each side, vertical and horizontal.
I'm glad they're doing an ultra-sound, too. Sometimes denseness can hinder a mammogram.

I've never had one...I am too young yet. BUT my mom has and she says they basically just squish you and it only hurts for like a minute. She said it would have been easier if she had bigger breasts because, well, there was more to squish.
I hope that everything is ok with you! I'll be thinking about it until you tell me you are okay!
OK I'm obviously not a female member of this board but, since Ms. Calif. Girlfriend is sitting right next to me and I know she has one every year or so I asked her. She said to tell you it's uncomfortable but only for a little bit. Definitely not painful, however. Hope that helped - good luck Kap!
