            I know it was a joke, couldn't figure out if it was sarcasm or irony.

            I am in San Diego, so altitude is no problem.

            Smog, however, is!

              Words fail me.

              Then again, based on some of my more mediocre writings, words tend to fail me with disquieting regularity.

              Nevertheless, 'tis better to be the subject of sarcasm or irony than to be utterly ignored.

              It makes me want to go out in a fit of needless self-promotion and get a black-and-white, publicity still photograph like Jerry Seinfeld had on the "Bubble Boy" episode. Though I don't think it's possible to write a better message than "Nothing's finer than being in your diner."
