Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I vaguely remember as a kid my dad purchasing three boxes of sports cards for like $100. I went through them a little when he got them but wasn't a HUGE sports fan like I am now. Anyways, my dad mentioned them last night and I tracked them down and dug them out this morning. Gonna go through and see what kind of paper gold I have.
i dont understand people who pay money for sport cards...
but best of luck to ya on 2 counts:
1. finding some that are worth a lot!! (for some reason i still dont get why people value them so highly, but never complain when people make money like yourself)
Sadly... those older ones like that really aren't worth too much. You'd have more of a headache trying to sell em then just enjoying what you got. Good luck though... maybe you WILL find a gem in there.

Oh I'm not really going through them to find some worth a bunch to sell. By paper gold I meant Broncos or White Sox cards
Looks like even though I am in Illinois the guy who we bought them off of knew a Broncos fan. Haven't gotten one Chicago and only I think five Denver cards while every other team has a stack of like 30+.
This reminds me of my favorite football card I have. It is an autographed Walter Payton card that I had him sign when I was about 9 years old, as he handed it back to me the ink was still wet and when he grabbed it his thumb print got "smudged" into the card permanently. It has to be unique, but I would not sell it unless it was for stupid kind of money.
id send a pm to redraptor and have him buy em off ya
That's funny you saw those. I honestly expected someone to comment about the two stuffed Ewoks and buffalo at the top of the picture or the halloween masks and oddly enough under those dinosaur cards are Power Ranger trading cards so I am guessing I threw all my childhood collections into these boxes too.
So what, I liked Triceratops and the Pink Ranger. Kiss my cards.

You want a picture of a slightly less empty box?
I like the Guinness flip-flops. Guinness is what angels drink in heaven.
I don't drink it myself. Someone bought me the sandals, can't recall who, for either christmas or my birthday.
As for that whole favorite card thing, mine isn't signed but I have a John Elway rookie card.
Elway rookie card, nice. Actually I only have the one autographed card, but it is awesome. About once every five years or so I will break out the old cards and go through them for nostalgia's sake, But the Payton card is in a frame hanging in my basement/football room.
