WOW! Anyone see his performances last night? He was doing great, I think he was in like 2nd place, and then when he went to do the vualt when he was doing the landing he fell totally off the pad and almost into the judges tables, he dropped all the way to 12th, and he still had two transitions left, parrallel bars and the high bar, he had a great routine on the parrallel bars and got a really high score, which moved him into 4th place, and then his final transition was the high bar, and he needed a like 8.28 to win or something like that, and he got a 8.378 I believe, and won the gold medal..Unbelievable...I thought maybe he could win Bronze and if he had a really really good routine he could get a silver, but he won the gold by twelve thousanths of a point..Amazing...Every step counts...Anyone else see it?

He needed a 9.81 to win and he got a 9.85 or something. But, yes it was really amazing. And those South Koreans too, man what a night.

What about Michael Phelps? 6 medals, 4 gold 2 bronze. This is turning into a great olympics for the US, don't ya think?

Yep, and then the woman swim team in the 200m relay or the 800m relay or what ever its called..LOL..They won the Gold, and CRUSHED the 17 year old record by like 1.5 seconds...Not to mention the 2nd place team in that race was like 2.5 seconds behind..

Yeah, I only caught the end and the replay when they were celebrating. I'd like to see what happens with the track and field events, those should be fun.

No matter, Hamm will get to keep the gold. They're basically protesting the judging done that night.

yeah that's right. however, i think hamm should give up the gold voluntarily. he knows he didn't win it, so why keep it? makes him and the rest of us look bad. give the gold to the guy who beat you and take the silver you earned. no shame in that. holding onto a medal you didn't win simply b/c the refs screwed up and the other team didn't realize it in time is shamefull though.

I agree with what they're looking at doing, and that is to BOTH receive the gold.

if i was him i would voluntarily give it up b/c it seems that there is not question he got beat. the judges basically just added up the scores wrong. its not like it is a subjective call, in which i might agree that both should get it. but in this case, where we know hamm got the 2nd highest point total, i wouldn't want the gold if i were him.
as far as the gold medal is concerned, he didn't do his job and only got enough points for silver. thats why i think he should voluntarily give it up.
