  • Your Favourite Meal

    Okay.....

I've over-analyzed the 08 season, responded to the new HC situation (and I am very happy about McDaniels and company) and have my views on who we should acquire in the offseason, although I don't have a keen sense yet on all the college players......I will listen to Mike Mayock and many of the smart mock drafters here to enlighten me. Soooooooooo,

if you had but one last supper, what would you choose?

And whether or not you want to know, I'll start with mine (just to break the ice, and because my mind has an open door....it leads to nowhere, but it's open)

Main course - Prime rib, with yorkshire pudding, an assortment of bright crunchy vegetables, a small side of mashed potatoes with gravy and a spectacular brew of coffee. I love dark roasted, rich coffee!!!!

Desert - Very simple.......apple pie or almost any apple/cinnamon concoction with ice cream. Generous amount of cinnamon and a great crust. ....some more coffee please!

This is not an alcohol thread, so I will not over indulge....maybe finish the meal with a nice shot of brandy....however, as guests you are invited to take a sip (or gulp or multiple swigs) of whatever you choose.

Now I am salivating......and after I read about others' meals of choice, I will wish I hadn't started this.....I may have to add several trips to the gym as a result.

    Just one last meal?

    How about just favorites?

    hmm...

Chicken Wings from Hooters. I love their shrimp, too.

Lasagna, with crusty, garlicy, buttery french bread. Lot's of cheese.

    Love cheese.

Fried pork chops covered in cream-of-mushroom gravy and onions. Huge side of loaded mashed potatoes ( butter, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese).

Side of hot yeast rolls and cinnamon butter.

Diet coke, please. gotta watch my calories!

For dessert: Health bar deluxe Sundae from Baskin Robins.
Or Fried ice cream with cinnamon and cool-whip on top.
    Or maybe French silk pie...

Wow, this is a toughy, my first instinct was to go with a Baconator from Wendy's, good as they are, not really a last meal type thing.

      So,

I guess I would start with an appetizer like some fresh crisp, buttery rolls that are flaky and moist yet still have a hint of crunch. Some shrimp, and baked potatoes covered with cheese and bacon, and some mozzarela sticks.

      Skip the Salad.

Main course, a nice tender juicy Filet Mignon, cooked medium, and smothered with A1 steak sauce. Also some crabcakes. Side of mashed potatoes covered in butter. Throw in a few pieces of fried chicken.

      Desert.

2 bowls of ice cream, both vanilla, one with a hot steaming slice of apple pie on top, the other with a glazed donut on it.

Of course all this with a good amount of
      to wash it down.

Yup, I think I'd be satisfied with that.

God this is making me hungry.

First I'd get a whole basket of the biscuits from Red Lobster. I LOOOOOOVE those things. Then i'd have a plate of fried chicken with mashed potatoes. I'd follow that up with some meat loaf. For dessert i'd either have some spice cake or angel food cake. Cant decide which. May take both.

                          Hey eb.....

Because most of the people here are American I thought about spelling words "your way" (color vs colour, favor vs favour, honor vs honour, etc..), but then I figured I got to be true to my roots.....something you folks would do if the situation was in reverse. It's respect and it's mutual!!!:salute!:

And not to slip into politics, but today was HUGE day on this planet.......
