What is wrong with this picture ?

Here's the scenario : An apartment complex parking lot. A man is stabbing a woman with a pocketknife. The woman's daughter runs out to help her mom procedes to get stabbed also. Daughter's boyfriend comes out shoots the stabber dead. Pin a medal on him , right ? L.A.P.D. arrests the man for murder. Bail is like 2 million. Seems like a person should have the right to defend that which is close to him. If this guy goes down I'll be the first one to start the riot.

This isn't the first time a story like this has been told. It's down right ridiculous when the perpetrator of a crime ends up being treated like a victim.

I suppose the argument in this case would be that he used deadly force instead of just injuring him or whatever.

I would think it would become a high profile case and public outcry could help if this "murderer" goes to trial.

As uncool as this is gonna sound, but even "he" deserves a fari defense. Maybe something is going on in his head? Like temporary insanity? Maybe what we didn't see was that the first woman was attacking him and he was trying to defend himself? Believe me... somewhere there is a lawyer licking his dirty chops to get this case and make a name for himself. Right or wrong.

he should of been arrested and sent to jail.. imho

why would one think he shouldnt be arrested?? cuz he told this "possible" story of him protecting his GF mom in a parking lot from being killed herself...

i dont wanna stick up for anyone in this case but one never knows the entire story and events of things that happened from reading a brief statement...

is it possible that the "shooter" killed this guy and to possibly cover up the shooting he came up with a story like this ... yes...

listening to one side of the story never really paints the entire picture...

the shooter HAD TO BE ARRESTED AND CHARGED... if there is a shooting involved there are procedures that the police need to follow... unfortunately even if the shooting occurs under self defense...

if this story holds true this guy may/ maynot serve time still...

was the gun involved registered??

what relationship was between the guy who got shot and killed to the GF's mom??

can anyone, other than the people involved, verify this story is legit???

all in all the shooter will have to now fight for his freedom..

I would have just shot the guy in the balls.

That way he lives and you don't get a murder charge.

when did the BF shoot this guy... did he just run out and start blasting or was he in a struggle with this guy too...

just how bad was the mom??? was she covered in blood when the BF came running out with the gun??? did the BF actually see him stab her or was he going off of what his GF said???

he has to justify him pulling the trigger and ultimately taking a life...

just cuz you own a gun doenst mean you have to right to shoot at someone, even in a case like this... there are other ways the BF could of handled the situation but one doesnt know until all the facts are found out... who knows maybe shooting this guy was the right thing to do...

The fact that it happened in California doesn't really surprise me. The laws vary state by state.

If that would have happened in Idaho the guy probably would have been taken in for questioning, but probably no charges. The laws here heavily favor people having the right to defend themselves or close ones. Now, if it were to happen on your own property here in Idaho the homeowner can almost get away with shooting a perpetrator even if he isn't armed. I have a friend that move up here from California and I told him if he ever has to shoot somebody and they are leaving his property as he does to just make sure that he drags the guy back on his property line.

Maybe, but, the fact that two women were stabbed as well in support of the story, makes me lean towards the BF doing the right thing in this case. Maybe the mom was doing something wrong, but, no reason then for the guy to stab the GF really.

I also think ths is the only way to handle a situation that you run into, if it went down as stated. You run outside, see your GF and her mother bleeding, a guy holding a knife. Maybe you try to reason with the guy, but, I know personally I wouldnt do anything reasonable at that point.
