Please pray for me. I was just informed this morning that I am being laid off. I am an entry level estimator for a restoration contractor and they are making 30% cuts across the board. Because I am the least experienced of the guys that are here I am unfortunately one the cuts that is to be made.

I've had to make some tough decisions regarding workforce reductions and have also talked with quite a few small business owners struggling to make these kinds of decisions. They have ranged from reducing work hours to pay cuts to layoffs.

It sucks and is not fun. Please keep the faith. 2009 is going to be a rough year econimically. Hopefully 2010 will be stronger and companies will begin to re-hire lost positions.
