If the collision occurs, the galaxies will likely merge into one larger galaxy. Various names have been proposed for the resulting merged galaxy, the most dominant being Milkomeda.
I swear that HAS to be a stripper's name!

    Pacman, can you confirm this?

I'm a little ticked......someone could have at least yelled out "fore" or something. I'm going to have trouble sleeping tonight if no one's going to at least tell me to duck or wear a helmet or something.........GEEEEE.

The article said it was similar to the size of one over Siberia and that one was incredibly strong (like 1000x stronger than the Hiroshima bombing) and this got me wondering. Everytime we see video of a nuclear explosion the trees are always being blown really hard and just flattened where when one goes off in a city, everything is utterly obliterated. How is it trees are able to only get branches blown off and whatnot but buildings get shallacked?

    Trees > buildings
Well this one isn't too hard. Buildings and structures are not made to bend. Trees can and will bend thereby prolonging their existence in extreme conditions.

I'd start singing about not wanting to miss a thing and not wanting to close my eyes and about how when I dream I dream about you... well, maybe not you, per se, but I'd be singing none the less.
