  • What is the saddest thing you have ever seen in your life?

I watched my grandpa die slowly of lung cancer as a kid, it was absolutely terrible.

    3 things...
    1. Watching Shanahan get fired.
    2. Watching Josh Mac get hired.
    3. Watching Cutler get traded.

those are the 3 most sad things I have ever seen....

When I was 16 my grandpa had fallen and hit his head. We drove 6 hours to Oregon to see him. He had been diagnosed with alzeihmer's previously, but this seemed to exacerbate it. When we got there he was stable and saw my dad and said hello. My dad said- "This your grandson, you remember him, don't you?" It has been about a year since i had seen him... he knew me... but him knowing he was sick said- "I suppose I should, shouldn't I?" That broke my heart. He passed away a few weeks later and the severity of the disease has stuck with me to this day 14 years later.

I watched one of my employees burn in a fire and then he died 11 days later. 3 others were burnt but survived.

          Absolutely horrifying.

I went through that with both of my grandmothers. It really broke my heart too. Twice.

                Oh man thats horrible

If I had a choice on how I die, burning alive would be close to last.

i've seen alot of sad things in the news and in my personal life with friends and family , and historical documentaries of course

but when i saw this question the thing that i was reminded of , was a san diego news broadcast during desert storm back in 90 or 91 i forget the exact year

a little boy being held by his mom as his dad was on an aircraft carrier being shipped out to the gulf and he was just crying for his dad, not wanting him to leave

**** like that always gets to me and i never forget it

A few months ago I was watching some show on the History Channel, and they told about how some "scientist" in the 60s or 70s transplanted one monkey brain(from a live monkey) into another monkeys head..and I think he cut one of their heads off and sewed it onto another monkeys body, and they actually showed some of the video..the poor little monkey had bloody tears coming from his eyes..it was quite sad and disturbing.

I did. She seemed to really like it too.

911 was the saddest thing I have ever seen.

Then watching my dad pass away

I wish we could rewind the clock ....

Sorry to hear about your dad man. Just keep him in your memory and at least you know hes always looking over you.

and yeah 9/11 was very sad. Im also surprised no one has mention Columbine-that was also a very sad day.
