The fire I spoke of was 1 month and 4 days after the attacks.

After watching 911 and feeling so helpless, we endured that tragedy.

The end of 2001 was not pleasant.

I agree about 9/11. A couple years ago I went to DC and walked through the Pentagon and went to the area that was struck by the plane. When I was in there the weight of what happened really hit me. I just couldnt believe that where I was standing was complete rubble at one point.

Watching my parents get drunk and then get into physical fights. Me, trying to stop them.

Seeing my friend a day and a half before she died of cancer. Seeing her husband's heart break.

Ah.... MD.... I feel your pain. Before I was adopted(and I don't mean by you ) I watched my mom get stoned out of her mind then get beaten by whatever boyfriend she had at the time. I used to think it was sad... but then I realized that to an extent it was on her. She had the power to get us out of that enviroment and never did. I thank gawd(even though I'm not religious) that my little sister was too little to have saved a lot of the memories from back then. We've talked and I've asked her- "Do you remember when..." and she honestly does not remember and thinks I am lying(she adores our real mom). Even if she is blocking out the memories I'm grateful that she's as ignorant to it all as she appears to be.

Anywho.... enough of that psycho babble!! Who the hell started this thread?? It sucks!!!!!
