It was the coolest thing! I was in a police chase! On my way to work and in my rear view all you could see were lights on lights. It was an endless parade. Looked like they were all folloing a black BMW that was in no real hurry... maybe 75-ish MPH. But two things struck me as funny...
1; How many cop cars does it take to conduct a chase like that? There easily were 7 cars on his ass... then over the course of the next 5 miles I was passed by 4 bikes and 5- 8 more cars. All of them had their lights on and were flying past me. Then 3 more cars passed, no lights, but in a hurry to join the fun. Somewhere, there was a lonley doughnut store owner!!
2; Is it safe for the cops to drive as aggresivley as they are? I mean... there I am trying to slow down and another driver almost sideswiped me trying to get out of the way of one of the cop cars. Then... a cop car comes flying up on my so I slow down. He starts to head towards the driver side of my truck so I slightly go to the right to give him more room then last second he hammers it and flies by on my passenger side. If I weren't watching him I easily could have taken him from the chase. And... the rubber neckers we all are... you could see all the heads bobbing as drivers watched the cars pass then slam their brakes as they realized they forgot to take their foot off the gas and almost pakred into the rear of the driver in front of them. What a mess!!!!
