Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Though it may not be important at that current time, when the mid terms and finals come around a lot better than having to read the whole book in a week.
the time i spend commuting prevents me from getting a job. why did u have credit card problems? you dont really need a car at my school.
Yeah, no joke. A 6 hour commute is crazy! If you could get through college without needing a job I'd totally go for it. I grew up in San Diego where a car is pretty much a necessity, and being that young the car insurance is crazy expensive.
Just being a stupid kid and buying a bunch of worthless crap like fancy clothes, video games, CD's and such. I'm so against giving 18 year old kids credit cards.
for me living at home=doing absolutly nothing but going to class. living near campus=having a life. By moving out though you learn leadership skills by doing things related to school that are much harder to pick up later and being involved is very beneficial when your trying to get a job. I would have a lot to show by spending 38k on housing, for one I would be able to enjoy college. For me its different though cause I have a daily 5-6 hour commute..
That's true. There is definitely a lot of things you pick up by living on your own at an early age. There are positives to doing it that way or deciding to live with your parents through college. I think it just depends where your priorities lie.
For me, I had to pay for a car, insurance and the credit cards so I worked full-time while I went to school. I wasn't going to be able to live the wild party life in college anyway so the parent situation worked well for me. To each their own ya know?
have u ever actualaly done this? i am currently doing this and absolutley HATE it. lets say i was in 30k in debt when i graduate. Now compare how much i could enjoy life over 4 years compared to the first 30k i would spend after college. Student loans are wayyyy better than living with your parents. my financial aid says my parents make too much for me to get a loan in my name. i wish i could get a loan so badly.......
I lived at home until I was 21 and it was TOTALLY worth it. I was able to knock out most of the credit cards I opened when I was 18 which helps tremendously!
Besides 4 more years isn't hardly anything. You'll still have another 20 years or so of partying hard (depending on your life plan) so you really wouldn't be missing out on that much. Figure $800/month for rent x 4 years that's $38K blown and nothing really to show for it. Ya know?

Same here.
Can't get financial aid because my parents make "too" much but they will not pay for any of my college.
And live with Mom and Dad and save money as long as you possibly can. You think it's lame now but you'll totally appreciate it later.
Why my fiancee and I live in a duplex off campus about 30-40 minutes away. It is about 15,000 a year for room and board, so a total of 30,000 a year for us.
We spend less than half of that renting a duplex and buying our own food and all those other needed things in life.
my earliest class is at 1. My schedule is so easy. I only have 3 classes i actually have to go to and the rest are online because the regular classes were full. if you decide to go to university of montana take ''history of rock 'n roll'' taught by jeff brandt. Best. class. Ever.
2. Dont sleep with your tutor, if she catches something, she is gonna be pissed and wont help you anymore.
3. Dressing casual in T-shirt, shorts, flip flops and a backpack with one strap that crosses your chest doesnt make you look like the laid back cool guy. You look like a tool. Park your ten speed and go get a haircut.
4. Being sober at a soroity party is like catching dead fish in a barrel.
5. Being Drunk at a soroity party is like catching dead fish in a barrel.
6. Your professor wont pass you just because you sit in the front row and wear short skirts everyday.
Don't schedule 8:00 classes unless you have to. My first semester, I scheduled an 8:00 every day because I figured that since I was used to getting to High School before 8, I'd have no trouble. By the second month I was making one or two a week.
I have to go to class Monday and Wednesday at 8:30 AM just because that was the only class available. The thing that sucks is that I have to go back later at 2:00 PM because I have classes from 2:30-6:45 which means I have to waste a lot of gas going back and forth between school and house unless I go and find somewhere to chill for a couple of hours... But still. BLEH!!!
On the bright side though I only have one one hour class on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I guess there's some good out of that.
