So I'm selling stuff on Craig's List because I am remodeling my house and I just don't want the crap here any more. I list things at a price that is reasonable because fundamentally, I do indeed want to sell it.

Someone else gets a good item at a good price and I get it gone and get some cash. Everyone wins, right?

But then people show up and want to haggle.

This ain't a bazaar, jerk. The price is what I listed it at. You either want it at that price or you don't. If you don't, someone else does.

People irritate the crap out of me. The time they waste with this crap is unbelievable. Doing it to me once they're already here is seriously annoying too. At least the people that do it before they arrive don't have me waiting for them. I tell them to stick it too, though.

Seriously. It's not that hard. "Or Best Offer." If it's present, make a bid. If not, the price is what the price is. This isn't rocket science.

That was a pretty good post. I tell you what, how about I give you 1/2 a CP, I might be able to go as high as 3/4 of a CP but no higher.

But yeah I despise the haggling crap. I would be a horrible salesman, those situations are always uncomfortable to me.

Seems silly, but I think it's fun for some people to go bargain hunting and then see if they can "make a deal."

When I sold my truck, I went through the same thing. I was selling it for a cheap price because I was moving and needed to get rid of it. If anyone offered me anything less then the price, I just said, get out of here. I hate people. You give them a price they know is good. and they want it for even less. I'm talking I could have asked 1k more for that truck and I only sold it for 2k. People are just never happy with any thing.

I've never gone to Craig's List. I guess some people treat it like a garage sale?

An annoyed Alastor almost scares me.

                I've seen those fangs.

I hope you sell everything at the price you want. No more garage-salers. Please don't make any old ladies cry, OK?

It's simple sales, really. As a buyer you hafta test the market. There are some cultures where everything is negotiable and that's how they grew up, even so little as the door nob on your front door. And to take it a step further... if you're still talking, it means your price isn't rock bottom yet.

Then you get the ignorant jerks who think they can just steal something and make the stupid offer. It's like a twisted version of Russian Roullete- the idiot sells or walks, but one person is the idiot.

Anywho... I know where you can find a few bucks for your remodel... did you get it yet?

Have you seen that screen shot from Craig's list about the bricks? It's not appropriate to post or link to, but let's just say the dude is fairly fed up with people asking him how they should use the bricks, or telling him what they need the bricks for.

It's a big long paragraph with many 4-letter words which basically says, "Either you want the bricks or you don't. If you do, come get them, if you don't, then shut up.

It had me rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off.

There are several threads about remodeling your home and liquidating your stuff on Craigslist......lets try and use one of those.

J/K man, but seriously- Craigslist is for hookers and scammers......what kind of people did you expect to respond?
Ebay is much better, you set a minimum and get what its worth.
Or do what I do and give it to good will and get a very generous (sometimes questionably generous) tax right-off.

Ebay charges fees. It doesn't sell right away. They don't come and get it.

Goodwill is not a good place to take a $600 musical keyboard to drop it off. Writing it off pays maybe 1 dollar when all is said and done. They still don't come and pick it up.

It's pretty much Craigslist, but I agree it's a terrible site. The problem is that there's not much out there that's better.
