I have Windows Live on this computer.

I want to uninstall it because it includes the MSN Messenger. I want it gone.

If I uninstall everything that says "Windows Live" this includes "Windows Live Photo Gallery."

Is this a different program than "Windows Photo Gallery?"

I actually like the Windows Photo Gallery, and when I open it it just says "Windows Photo Gallery" on it. Is the one with "Live" in the title a different program?

    In simplified terms:

If I uninstall Windows Live and all associated programs including the Windows Live Photo Gallery, will I still have the basic "Windows Photo gallery?"

Note: It most certainly does APPEAR to be a separate and independent program. I just want to check before I delete the beast.

Windows Photo Gallery is part of the default Windows installation while Windows Live Photo Gallery has been installed separately via Windows Live.

Windows Essentials reached end of support on January 10, 2017 and is no longer available for download.

Deleting live photo gallery won't do anything to your windows photo gallery.

        Now...

Working in normal Windows Photo Gallery, how do I remove unwanted tags? Not from the pictures, but from the master list of tag options?
