I Hate Wet Socks

Almost everything gives me a flashback to a Seinfeld episode. Of course, each and every one of the flashbacks relates to something about nothing....

Wet socks do suck!

Although commuting on a motorcycle much of the year, I have gotten used to them to a degree from mornings it was raining.

Now wet underwear, don't even get me started on that

You should wear sandals under your shoes instead of socks. That way when you take your shoes off you are still wearing sandals.

I will walk slower, but maybe it's worth a try....

Don't get us started on that wet underwear situation....not us Powder!!!! (memories of my early days are flashing before me.......peed my pants once in grade one.......never got over it!!!....didn't help my chances with the grade one ladies....:nono:

If there's one thing that gets my goat (what does that mean?????) it's when, just before I leave, I step into some wet stuff (ie. melted snow on the carpet, water that dripped from the dish washer, yadda yadda) with my socks on, and it's just enough to make me think about it as I leave the house, and maybe for hours to come. This happens in other places, like at the University where I work out, when some dude leaves some shower water on the floor, just where I didn't see it.

Trouble is, the sock stays wet inside the shoe, and with any amount of bad luck, may let off some inauspicious odour as well. But for me, it's that wet, trapped feeling that drives me round the bend (what does that mean??). The fact that you are stuck with this situation from the time you hastily charge out to the rush hour world, to the time you get home, is a hard pill to swallow (as you can detect, I love old sayings).

What's even worse is when wetness and cold meet up, all inside your footwear. Wet and cold......not a good combination, especially in the dead of winter!!!

I know life is full of great things, and I shouldn't whine about something so trivial........but I am, and after all, I started this dumb thread!!!

And who can forget this old piece of literary genius.........
