    Ode To The Broncos

    On the edge of the Rockies

    Lies a tradition

    A passion

    An identity worth my while

    There may be ripples of change within

    Sometimes uneven, sometimes subtle

    But the image is the same

    It draws me with a magneticism so forceful

    That I can not turn away

    In case I miss one of those days

    One of those seasons

    When all is right

    Whether it be during the hot days of summer

    Or a snowy night in early winter

    When the air is crisp and sweet

    The game is the thing

    And the Orange and Blue colours are worn

    By a young man or a mentor

    A Champ or one aspires to be

    Men of all backgrounds, seeking the ring

    We remember them by first name

    Randy, John, Rod and Mike

    Heroes everyone

    Men who made our lives better

    Men who put things on the line

    For those that wish to follow

    Men of character

    Inspiring one and all

    And through all the joy and pain

    No one can deny

    Those two seasons

    Two seasons for the ages

    When we stood above the rest

    When Broncos ruled the land

    When Mile High was magical, and forever bright

    In our memories

    But there is more, so much more

    Through the ups and downs

    The days and the nights

    The seasons that run their course

    No matter, the dream remains

    As sure as the mountains stand

    And the sun sets beyond

    For the hope never wavers

    ~~~~~~
    On the edge of the Rockies
    Lies a tradition
    A passion
    An identity worth my while
    Great poem
    Without a doubt I'll be using this one, I really appreciate you spending so much effort on it. I owe you one
      And another:
      mile high soldiers rise
      spurred on by their past failure
      to crush enemies
      I'll use both those haiku's to count as one of the poems. Thank you very much for your time :salute!:
      I wish I could remember the whole thing....
      The only lines I remember are:
      Who's that leader, yelled from one tall
      He's John Elway, one of the greatest quarterbacks of them all.
      Man that poem was sweet.
      Dang I wish you could remember it, it sounds pretty sweet.
              Do limericks work???
              There once was a linebacker named Doom,
              whose sacks felt like a sonic boom.
              He dropped left tackles to their knees,
              and then hammered their QBs,
              making all Bronco fans sing a happy tune!
                  Leave it to an Irishman to think a limerick is a legitimate form of poetry!
                  Oh wait, I'm part Irish! :doh:
