Awwww our little chicken is growing up to be a hen. No wait that's rooster.

The apartment you rent, regarding GL47's underwear comment, should have a washer and dryer IN the apartment. Not necessity but so much better.

Be sure to find an apartment close to your work place so commuting doesn't become an issue/problem/expense.

Suck as much stuff from mom and dad you can get.

OK, made some jokes there, but you get the idea. PA to AZ is a long way away and a big step and good luck to you.

The first time you leave home can be VERY scary and intimidating. Do you have friends in the area that can help any when you arrive?

Are you just winging this because of weather and cost?

Is there a real plan set forth?

Is there a connection or hookup waiting?

Good Luck to you and hope it's what you are looking for. I for one am sick of the cold too. Can we be room mates?

Oh wait... That wouldn't work for me.

I would also suggest that you do not wear that bathing suit in your avi. :nono:

That is very good advice. That would create a very odd tan line.

Im living in Tempe, going to school here! Since your 21, You can go out on Mill Ave(mostly north of University Dr) and have an amazing time! you coming out here for school or just work? Heres a warning: if your planning on getting an apartment for 400-500 by yourself, dont. You will end up in a bad place. go to apartmentratings.com and read the reviews, i did that, and the reviews are actually very accurate from past renters. I live out here really close to ASU, so just ask me any questions....

What sparky said you can hang out on Mill (I didnt much a lil to frat boy testosteronish for me) but lots of bars girls etc. And if you get an apt for 4-500 a month you should probably bring the kevlar vest. Spend a lil more or get some cool roommates.
                good luck to ya

being away from home isnt as bad as people think. It can be very overwhelming but it will be a growing experience for ya. Take it all in and see what the world....or tempe has to offer and enjoy yourself!

I agree with what everyone has stated from before, research the apts and the locations in where your going to move. You'll be surprised at how the areas change from good to bad in just a block or so.

Hopefully you'll have a job before you land here, that's one mistake I see quite a few people do and they end up having to work across town, which sucks due to traffic in the valley.

What ever you do don't by herb from the Jamacians on Mill Ave (I'm serious )
