Fiction. The microwave signals emitted by cellphones are extremely weak. Far too weak to feel warm, let alone pop popcorn.

You have water in your skin, and that would burn like Hell if the cellphones emitted a strong pulse. Microwaves only heat things with water in them. And since when do microwaves take a cellphone call's length of time to cook popcorn? That crap takes forever.

Yeah im pretty sure if a phone gave off enough microwaves to pop a bag of popcorn, then it would fry your brain if you held it to your ear when talking.

If you notice, you can't see under any of those tables, and all are VERY close to the floor. Suspicious, if you ask me.

If they really wanted to show you, they'd have used a glass table
