Be happy with your $11 because you are in a better spot than me right now.

My taxes are so long and complicated that I file for an extension every year. I'll be filing mine in October.

I filed them the first day possible and got my refund over a month ago. I bought myself a brand new Brian Dawkins and Rod Smith authentic jerseys and put the rest in savings.

Our taxes are done. We ended up owing a bit to state, but only received chump change from federal.

Last year we ended up getting $350 back from the Feds but had to turn around and pay Utah $310 so we netted a whopping 40 bucks. We're hoping for a similar break even scenario this year.

I hit a $1500 jackpot in Vegas last year and have to claim that as income this year.

I'm going to attempt the Turbo Tax today at lunch and see where we stand.

                      Turbotax ftw

I got back 454 from Federal, 154 from Missouri, but I owe Kansas 144.

                      Where that money's gone? IDK

Turbo Tax is my new friend!

That wasn't so bad. Kinda long, but understand why with all of the deduction options etc.

                        So we are smiling today!

Fed refund will be $587 and Utah refund will be $187.

No Taxes for me this year since I haven't had a job since Dec 08.

but last year I got a cool $2,000 from the feds and $800 from the state.

Why do some of you have to pay the state instead of getting something back? I don't know a lot about taxes, except that it's stupid and more complicated than it should be.

Because alot of states are going broke and jacking taxes to an unreasonable rate.
