  • I Feel the Need.....

Alright, I've come to terms that I'm an adrenaline junkie. When I'm not in the air going Mach 10 with my hair on fire, then I'm on the outskirts of town in my car flirting with 3-digit speeds. I thought it'd be fun to start a thread about fellow posters with a need for speed like me. You can either post pictures of your pride and joys, (doesn't have to be a fast car, could be any car your proud of) or maybe share stories that are interesting related to your ride.

Have fun guys, I'm on my phone now but I'll try to share my car later on

I got pulled over doing around 120 by the Colorado Highway Patrol. By the Grace of God I only got a warning.

Feel free to laugh at this. I'm 16, and I drive a minivan (passed down from my mom and brother). My brother busted the speakers when he drove it. Now I fly around town usually at at least 70 mph in a beatup minivan. Never gotten pulled over, once I was going 80 in a 45 and a cop was going the opposite direction of me and started to turn around to come after me so I turned off onto a side road and lost him.

I was a speeder! 4 Car crashes and 2 tickets later, I'm not.

Highest was 105 on a country road. I learned my lesson.

I have a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis that I've gotten up to 85 a few times...okay, so its not your typical mom car, but they ride really smooth.

When I was 19, I had a 1979 Pontiac Catalina-it was an old cop car, and fast. I broke 120 mph (with my dad in car) on a back road near Longmont.

I did 100 mph once on I-70 in my hubby (then boyfriends) car going west bound...I had to beat him to his house in Lakewood. Its a girl thing

Any the only times I got caught speeding? Going downhill on Hwy 7 in my 1984 Subaru Stationwag. 70 in a 55...

And 45 in a 30 in southern Indiana in my 1993 Ford Escort

Knock on wood ( ) I havent been stopped for a ticket since 2002.

I actually drive the same car as you, except mine is an Eclipse. I've always found it funny how they're practically the same car haha I've also been looking around for a 1970 Challenger, those are absolute monsters. I like the new ones too but I see them around too much. Oh well, kudos to great minds

Mopar stuff is outrageous these days. I could have bought one off of a guy about five years ago for six and a half. Of course, it had a 318 in it, but I knew a guy who had a 440 block. In the end I couldn't justify putting that much work into a car I paid six and a half grand for. Plus I'm not that big of a Chrysler fan. I'm glad I didn't get it, because I found an 84 Monte Carlo with less that 40k on it, and brought that guy down below 5. It's the car I drove in HS so it has the nostalgic effect. I'd put a pic up, but I tested the bumper cover out a few months back, and I'm in the process of replacing it. I know what you mean about the new Challengers. They're everywhere.

All this talk of speed has attracked the attention of Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrain.

                          I'l never forget it.

We all sat there in utter amazement at how fast he was. My god, he hit the wall with such force. We thought he was dead. He rolled over onto his knees with his face planted down, clutching his head.

Not a sound...from anyone. Had there been a radar gun, he would have set some sort of record.

That night we proved just how far a penny could go, and how youth is ignorant--when you all get high and dare your buddy to stick a penny in an open light socket.

Nice man! Ya and if you noticed, I actually have an Eclipse front bumper on my Talon. I might eventually do the whole Eclipse conversion because I like the look of the GST/GSX a little better than the Talon Tsi.

Do you have anything done to your car? Is it a Gst/Gsx or non turbo?
