  • You think your laws are bad?

I've been hearing about this all day on sports talk radio and internet here's a link of Dez Bryant getting a criminal trespassing warning for sagging his pants at a mall in Dallas...The mall is really nice but still this is overboard.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...for-low-pants/

I've also seen stories on Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star Telegram...he can't go back for 3 months.

It's because it's a gang identification device. Thus they require a certain dress code.

We had the same rule at one of the schools I taught at last year. There are several malls in Denver where no motorcycle jackets of any kind are allowed because they don't want the biker gangs wearing colors there either, but can't specifically target them.

    Same thing here.

Dez is a grown man who makes 10s of millions of dollars per year. He can afford a belt, or he can buy pants that fit. If he can't figure those two things out, he ought to at least have the sense to pull his own damned pants up.

According to WFAA in Dallas, off-duty police officers gave Bryant a criminal trespass warning after “creating a scene” when asked to pull up his pants.

“What the [expletive] are you stopping me, like I stole something,” Bryant supposedly said. “I’m not leaving until my attorney and my representative get here.”
They asked him to pull his pants up. He got snotty. This is apparently not the first incident he's had at that mall.

Maybe it's time for Dez to buy a belt. Two of them actually. One for his pants, and one for his mouth.

It wasn't a gang related thing and I'm sure if there were previous incidents there with him I would have heard about them at one point or another, Not to mention it's already been proven that isn't exactly what Dez said and there wasn't a huge "scene" over it. It kind of kills me that he seems to actually be trying to stay out of trouble but since he got in the league people have been going out of their way to try to catch him doing something wrong. I've been to that mall before it's pretty nice but it is in the Dallas city limits and you do see real gangsters walking around it sometimes. I try to stay out of the city of Dallas as much as possible there has been so much corruption with the police force it's unreal to the point where a few years ago the police chief had to step down because all the stuff they were doing to try to arrest people (abuse caught on tape, planting evidence, and more). The only thing I can think of that might have been national was when an officer planted shaved pool chalk on some kids and claimed it was a powdery drug I'm not saying which one. Fort Worth police aren't too bad i've had only 1 bad experience with them one time when I asked for their help other than that never any problems, Dallas though i've always thought is the most corrupt police force in the nation (or top 3 at least). The city has a lot of worse things going on then one of Dez's friends sagging his pants (which you see people there doing that everyday lol).

Foez, there's another thread on this in Other NFL Teams.

In it, people have been posting other articles that say that the mall has a dress code and that there have been several incidents involving Dez at that mall.

Wasn't Dallas where a cop pulled over someone who's wife was having a baby in the car? When they were saying they had to get in the hospital because she was in labor he pulled his gun on the family.

It was all over youtube, cracked me up.

Good, he deserves it. He went against their code, and he gave them an attitude. I don't see anything wrong here...

I do agree. Mall's are not public venues, they are private buildings.

There was a guy at the Aurora Mall here who wore a pro-marijuana shirt and then threw a fit when the cops asked him to leave. He thought it was a public place, but, he was wrong!

Funny thing is (if this is accurate) sagging started in prison they made their "tricks" sag to identify them as "tricks". So i guess if you are proud or think it is hard to walk around looking like a prison trick go on ahead and sag.

I never understood why a guy would want to advertise his back-side. It's repugnant....and it highly aggrivates me.

Thanks. The thread needed a little perspective.

Right there with you. I'll be driving home from work, and I'll see these high school kids walking with their pants almost on the ground. I saw one with his pants around his below his butt... WITH A BELT TO MAKE SURE IT STAYED THAT WAY! You could see his underwear clear as day.

If this is in-style fashion, we're all going to Hell.
