Guy builds Ark

This is a form of therapy... Just as my neighbor built his guest house from nothing. He was old and had nothing better to do to waste his time... I bet you that ark is worth more than he put into it... so he's not "wasting his money".

We daily waste time on entertainment like video games, watching TV, and surfing the net. Whats wrong about building a ship, just because the builder got his specs from a book whose origins is around 6-7 thousand years old?

exactly, i wasted like 4 hours today playing a videogame, but i had fun

It could happen if there a big enough landslide or something like that, mega tsunami's rarely happen but it doesn't completely run them out.

My problem with it, is I don't see the point of it.

It's a waste of his time and money. He didn't do it out of spiritual reasons, he did because he had a nightmare, in the nightmare made him build a ark.

Great craftsmanship, but pointless build.

I see it as a work of art.

You can say most items and luxuries are a waste of time an money. Why buy a 90,000 dollar car? 15,000 dollar works the same. Why put time and money into a painting, just sits there and has not purpose.

There would have to be something majorly catastrophic for someone to even consider using it. A mega tsunami wouldn't be devastating enough.

TBH we all look for things to make us feel happy or just keep us occupied for a little while; if this guy wanted to build an Ark, who are we to judge him. The fact he's actually completed it is even more impressive. As long as he doesn't actually believe there's going to be a flood, and doesn't actually gather two of every species on the planet and disappear out to sea, I think it's alright.

Congrats to him. He had some free time and money then more power to him. With our free time we do things like talk on this message board with his free time he built that, I have no personal problem with that at all.

Sweet boat. If it can make it overseas that'd be awesome if they did a tour around the world of ports so people could see it. They could make some decent cash (since he said it was a tourist attraction).
