    I was born with a club foot and a left leg shorter than my right (about 2-3 inches now). My foot was actually backwards when I was born, and during a surgery to correct it they found out that I was allergic to morphine and codeine the hard way when I stopped breathing.

    Raised by my dad after my mom committed suicide when I was 5. I loved sports and wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps (he played semi-pro football) or to be a MLB pitcher. That didn't work out. I had a really bad concussion in high school and I couldn't see for a day, so I had to give up football.

    Loved drawing since the 1st grade, but never took an art class until college, oddly enough. I plan on making my own comic book, and I hope that I can make it into a cartoon and/or video game someday.

    I graduated from CU-Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design-Design Studies. Still looking for a graphic design job.

    I'm also addicted to video games. Very addicted.

      I write lefty.

      I throw a baseball and football righty.

      I bat lefty and righty.

      I shoot a lacrosse ball and hockey puck lefty.

      I skateboard and snowboard regular.

      I shoot a basketball both righy and lefty.

      Yeah, I don't know, I just roll with it.

        Another fact about me is that I shoot a basketball with my left, but I throw a football with my right.
        I'm the opposite with the football/basketball thing. I always thought I was an odd ball because of it.

          Yeah, I'm kind of used to it at this point. What's weird is that my eyes look normal, as if I didn't have it. When it occurs; the effect looks like a chameleon. One eye is looking straight while the other moves, which is why I end up seeing two things.

              She asked if she could get a picture real quick and he said "oh yeah, sure" and kept walking. She said "what a jerk", and apparently John heard her and flipped her the bird.

              I thought it was hilarious.

                    Someday when you forget who said what here......keep it simple, and any good things you read, might as well catalogue it under CanDB. That will be easier for you to remember.

                    I'd add some of my own, but there are plenty of interesting things here that I don't mind receiving credit for.

                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                      As I sit here writing this post I am also playing poker on four tables, analyzing a chess game, listening to music, and talking to a friend, and yeah, I'm pretty much doing them all at once. While I do this, my knees are bouncing up and down uncontrollably.
                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

                      I have a group of friends, and it's not uncommon for one of them to spend $3500 or so on a new lock that's "state of the art." They'll then open the package it came in, set to picking the lock, and it's open in under 30 seconds. A minute at most. Then their $3500 lock is obsolete to them.

                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                      /QUOTE]
                      Alastor........
                      My friend works with ADD and has been successful......is it the same type of medical thing, or is yours different? Just wondering what supportive things can be utilized, to help.....if in fact help is even needed?
                      Not sure why people keep buying $3500 locks? Too much money and/or protecting something pretty special????
                          So how do you approach something new? Like, for instance, when someone first handed me a golf club, I knew I was going to get in a right-handed stance. Is it confusing for you? Are you like trying it right-handed, and then saying "no, no" then try it left handed? How's that work?
                          That's awesome by the way.
                            When I was 11, I got half of my hand cut off. I was holding the roll-cage on a dunebuggy when the back tires hit a railroad crossing sign. Here is a picture. Don't look if you're queasy or if super-gnarly injuries gross you out.
                            I was raised in Odessa, Texas. Home of the Permian Panthers, of 'Friday Night Lights' fame. I went to the other HS in town, Odessa High School. OHS lost to PHS for 31 straight years. My senior year, we beat them 20-17.
                            I like stadiums and raceway's. Anywhere I go, if there's a sporting park, stadium, etc. I go and see them.
                            I love fall, and all things associated with fall.
                            I've lost 85 lbs in less than a year.
                            Did you/do you know Gary Gaines? He was my college coach. Love that guy.
                                I play guitar lefty.
                                I do almost everything else righty (hockey, shoot in basketball, throw football, throw/hit baseball)......wish I could say I do them all "right"!
                                I am a bit conflicted at tennis, and other racket sports (cause my power arm is right but my left hand has more sensitivity or smarts or whatever????).
