  • Top 10 Bands you wish you could have seen.

Ok... so we seem to have some serious audio-philes on the board so give me your top 10 bands / artists you would have liked to have seen or seen in their prime if you saw them later in life.

    1. Led Zeppelin - do I need to tell you why?
    2. The Who - in their prime..saw em about 20 years ago and while great not quite as angry as they used to be.
    3. Black Sabbath - in their prime saw em in Vegas during reunion... AWESOME but again missing the raw power of youth.
    4. Sex Pistols - just because the show would have been great.
    5. MC5 - all I have to say is "Kick out the Jams mother....."
    6. Robert Johnson - blues from the toes on up.
    7. GBH - classic English Hardcore band..never got to see them.
    8. New York Dolls - saw later in life..was ok. rather have seen em young.
    9. Hendrix - no real reason to explain
    10. Otis Redding - the dude could flat out blow. best RB guy ever.

Honorable Mention: Dead Boys, Minor Threat, Hank Williams Sr., Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Enrico Caruso.

Pretty much all American, British and Australian 80s bands that never made it to Europe/Denmark. I missed out on so much great stuff. Long live Youtube and 80s radio stations online.

Looking at your list, second me on The Who. Wouldn't mind a live Jeff Beck solo either.

Fortunately I have seen most of my favorites. But would love to see:

Led Zeppelin (Actually saw them at Live Aid) but would have loved to see the circa 1974.

The Rolling Stones - Seen them, but would have loved to when they had Mick Taylor on guitar.

The Stone Roses - They are reuniting in Europe, but obviously I can't make it.

The Who - with Keith Moon

Jimi - With the Experience or with Band of Gypsies

Fleetwood Mac - during the Rumours tour

Many more but those come to mind right off the bat.

Saw Nirvana at the Denver Coliseum in 1993, 4 months later Kurt was gone. That concert was amazing and scary all at the same time.

                          Wow! good ones.

I saw Johnny Cash. other than James Brown, I have never been more dumbfounded in the presence of a singer / band. It was 2 hours I will never forget.
