  • That "Comfortable" Feeling Is Highly Underrated

Being "comfortable" with the people around you, or the environment you dwell in, is such a special thing.......and for my money, it is grealy underrated when it comes to life's best things.

For me, being comfortable means I can be myself, and feel good about it.......and reflects the positive state I am in thanks to the type of people that I hang with, or place that I am in. And being comfortable means that for all my flaws and things that I do not normally want to share with others.....when in certain company, these so called blemishes are never the priority, unless of course I want them to be.

Some of it has to do with familiarity of course.......as in, you've covered this ground before, and there is nothing new or surprising or concerning about it. Some of it has to do with your confidence as well......as in, I can handle this, whether or not you can.

But most of this has to do with the importance of good family and friends, who take you for what you are, and are open-minded about any "imperfections" that come with the package....for we all have some.

So........next time you are in a meeting with a boss or peer who constantly makes you feel "uncomfortable", or in places where folks try to bring you down rather than build you up, or where others give you a strange look for something that makes you different or for something you have done (with good intention)......or if you are in a place that makes you feel "restricted"...........

......well, I suggest it is then that you make a list of all the good folks in your life, and the places you love, and make sure you give the folks on this list an extra chunk of appreciation. And as for the place......be glad that you have these happy spots in your world.:thumb:

Actually, I read it yesterday Can and enjoyed doing so. Sometimes there's little need for a reply, sometimes nothing further needs to be said or addressed - atleast that is how I personally feel.

It served as a great reminder and unless I have something useful or insightful to add, I try not to say much or anything at all. Leaving a simple "I agree" more often than not feels dumb to me, if OP was profound and thoughtful. I'm more of a lurker that way.

I encourage you to keep sharing your thoughts with us. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I nod in agreement and sometimes I don't quite catch your drift. Circle of life, right?

This thread is as good as any around here, don't let the replies be the deciding factor.

          Completely agree with this.

I actually didn't see this thread yesterday, probably would have left a response.
But sometimes when I view a thread, I just view it, even if I agree 100% with the OP, no need to just write 5 words.

As for this thread, everything I would have said as a reply is already in the original post.
