  • Satellite or Cable?

So I realized that I am a sports (CO) fanatic. Granted, I can watch all of my Broncos games since I am a local Coloradoan. But unfortunately there are some things that are not available to me. Like Nuggets, Rockies, and my college football team (Fordham).

So I'm thinking about signing up for either Satellite or Cable. What's the biggest difference between the two of them? From what I've heard, Satellite gives you thousands of channels but only like a 100 or 150 are actually worth watching or are of high quality in terms of resolution and whatnot.

I'm thinking of doing cable TV because while I may not get as many channels they would have all the ones that I want like the Nuggets games, the Rockies etc. etc.

    Thoughts?

I have DirecTV and LOVE it. But I am not in Colorado, so I need it to get the games. I probably won't be able to help you as much as other people who live in Colorado.

I might actually have to talk to BH3233 because I know he watches a lot of the Rockies games. How much are you paying for it if you don't mind me asking?

Like $130 with pretty much every channel possible. Like hundreds of them (HBO, Showtime, Stars) all that.

My bill is always higher because of the NBA League pass and all the UFC PPV's I buy but around $130 is the base monthly fee.

I also have a DVR so that is a little exta per month either, but I included that in the 130.

That is not too bad I guess. I'll have to compare around and see what I can get.

Yeah like I said, it is different for you because since you live in Co Springs (I lived there for awhile so internet hi-five!)

you can get the games with basic cable, where as I have to order Sunday Ticket. That is part of the reason I got DirecTV.

It's a really great place! Not a lot of craziness goes on here (less crime than Denver) and a drive to Denver only takes like 3 hours. Yah DirectTV does cost a pretty penny. I wish cable were cheaper.

Both have it's pros and cons, but overall Satellite is better.

In my opinion, satellite's only major con is that it sometimes screws up during storms. But outside of that never had any issues with it.

When your cable’s on the fritz, you get frustrated.
When you get frustrated, your daughter imitates.
When your daughter imitates, she gets thrown out of school.
When she gets thrown out of school, she meets undesirables.
When she meets undesirables, she ties the knot with undesirables.
And when she ties the knot with undesirables, you get a grandson with a dog collar.
Don’t have a grandson with a dog collar.
Get rid of cable and upgrade to DirecTV.

                    sorry that commercial is awesome.
