ya, no doubt! we already have the x box hid for them but am getting the new slim ps2 also since we have the old style already ( they played it till it chocked..LOL ) we also have game cube so I figured to just round it out and get the x box. i hear it is awsome so we shall see. this way we wont have to by so many games since they will be playing three diff. systems. it will slow us down from getting threw the games so fast. what do you have now, if any?Have allways been Broncos & will allways be Broncos...ORANGE & BLUE FOREVER BABY!!!

I personally like PS2 more, but they are both good consoles...
do you think you'll have plans to hook it up so the kids can play games against other people through the internet? That's the area where Xbox holds a big advantage.
I think the actual game selection is better for PS2, but they are both pretty similar.

no, they wont go online with them. sounds corny but i only let them go onto their aol site which is very strict on what they do and can see. i just think it is safer for them and besides, i dont want the head ache. but on the other hand, i will be goin online with them.....want to hook up and play one of these days after Christmass? maybe we could get horsie in on it too. it would be a blast!Have allways been Broncos & will allways be Broncos...ORANGE & BLUE FOREVER BABY!!!

I'd go w/ xbox.......not sure if you have an hdtv or 5.1 stereo......but if so both of these can be utilized w/ an xbox not to mention xbox live and they can play on live you can just take away the communicator so they have no voice chat if ya want.....all games that are ported from ps2 to xbox are better on xbox as the xbox has the hardware advantage...The built in hardrive will also make it easier on your kids...they won't have to be fumbeling around for memory cards .Go Broncos, Capitals, and Orioles

Well if you have PS1 - why not get PS2 - you can still play the old games - you can play dvd's (not that most people dont have dvd players by now) and Bubba takes his everywhere and it still works great - but I have never used an Xbox - so I cant say for sure - its just seems to me I would lean towards the Xbox if I wanted to do those live game thingys

xbox does allow you to play dvd's as well, but you need to buy a seperate remote for that, prob. another 20-30 bucks, but on the other hand, xbox doesn't need a memory card, which ps2 does...that's prob. another 20 bucks so it's a wash.

I have a PS2 ...I love it. I'm totally satisfied with it. Plays DVDs (#1 reason for getting it) and it plays PS1 games, which is good because I only have two PS2 games. But it's okay my friend has a PS2 as well and he has no life so I just wait until he buys the games and then play them.
I don't like XBox. Reason 1. I don't like Microsoft...Reason 2. The controller is rediculously huge and there is NO need for 15 buttons (literally). However, I am impressed with the graphics, but they're not much better than PS2 in my opinion so. Plus I don't do internet and all that which if I wanted to I could do with my PS2 anyway so I don't see a reason for the XBox.
