My dog.

My dog had a bad itch for a good couple of months, so my brother finally got around to taking him to the vets today to see about getting him some flea tablets. Turns out they've found quite a few lumps dotted around his body and have had to take biopsies to determine if it's cancer. I know nothing is set in stone yet but I just feel physically and mentally lost. I also know some people might be sitting there thinking "it's just a dog dude, chill" but he truly is my best bud and the thought of losing him brings me to tears. Just want all my fellow Broncos fans to keep their fingers crossed for Barney until we found out his results on Wednesday, would mean a great deal.

Sorry to hear that dude. Dogs are good friends....well, some of em are.

It sounds like yours is though. We have a little family house dog. I know when the day comes for him to pass on it will be hard on the kids, and me too.

Been there done that with a couple of our Pets, very stressful indeed, I was a basket case,( and I used to be a Vet tech) keep us posted.

I hope everything works out & it's nothing serious. And when you own a dog it's not just a dog, it's part of your family & you love him or her just as much, at least i know i do anyway & i would be crushed if something were to happen to ours.

They truly are man's best friend & wonderful pets because they give you unconditional love not matter what, if you have a bad day & come home all upset & mad he's there gretting you. If your sick they will lay by your side, etc. etc. Dogs are awesome!

Thankfully my brother brought him home before I went out to a wedding last night, so I had a chance to see him, and was reassured by how high-spirited he was. They're thinking the lumps could have something to do with a skin infection, which would be absolutely wonderful news. He's asleep by me now so all I can do is keep looking after him and hope it is just a skin infection.
