It costs so much more to eat healthy. Sure you can get a side salad at McDonald's for $1.00 and it's only 20 cals but most people who go to McDonald's don't go for the salads. A McDouble is also a buck, but it has 390 cals!!

The new Spicy McChicken Bites are 410 cals! It's all about will power and the decisions you make during the day.

I saw the following video and thought wow Almond Butter and Coconut oil....good start. However, Almond butter, the organic kind, $15.99! Coconut oil, also organic, is $8.64....

Now I'm sure you could find cheaper prices (I pulled these from websites) at your local Whole Foods, but it's very intimidating and deflating to begin a diet that includes the above items when you are on a strict budget.

Dr. Oz is an awesome dude and says he eats Greek yogurt and fresh blueberries for breakfast every morning. But then again, he can afford that kind of food.

    Ideas anyone?
Thats my problem. I'm trying to get on a diet to gain weight, but everything I want is far too expensive....Right now I'm waiting til I go back to college so I can just use my unlimited meal plan to eat extremely large meals all day long

LOL! You guys crack me up!!! I love the comparisons to Dwight Schrute he's one of my favorite characters from the Office!

Anyways, here's an update: soooooooooo.... I decided that today at my work I was going to eat two salads instead of having a greasy pizza and I drank at least 3 full cups of water.

I'm feeling a lot better despite the fact that I kind of cheated and had an energy drink. Sorry I couldn't resist lol, I was crazy tired.

I'm doing much better. Oh, and on the karate bit there are people of all ages who do karate. I know at my karate center the majority of people are actually 18+ and it gets really crazy. As much as I love the Office, it totally misrepresented karate. I know for me, I just feel great when I do it, better overall in general. More coming...

It's like if I told someone this doughnut is sugar and low on calories. They'd buy it just because of that, not knowing what I used as a substitute to give/replace the favor sugar and butter gave.
Yeah, I work at Pizza Hut and there's SO MANY people that order like 50 dollars worth of pizza and then ask for a 2 liter of diet coke thinking that will do anything.

People are just very misinformed sometimes. Just because it says diet doesn't necessarily mean it is! Kind of like how people think buying bread that says whole wheat and such means it's good for you.

I wouldn't say the aspartame is that bad if you drink it once in a while like once a week. But knowing some Americans diet consists of drinking multiple sodas everyday, Imma have to agree with you.

Eh I wouldn't necessarily say GSP does a whole lot of karate now though ever since the Serra fight. Karate involves being elusive and picking your strikes but that's hard to do when you have a barrage of punches flying at you (I'm mostly talking about the karate stance). The best examples I could think of is like I said before the GSP vs Serra fight, and the Machida vs Shogun 2 fight.

All this talk about martial arts makes me want to do them so bad. Will someone lend me a few thousand dollars so I can do them?

Also when it comes to rewarding yourself with pop, cut back or stop drinking dark drinks, stick with clear drinks, and/or drinks with natural ingredients.

What exactly are your goals with the diet?

Getting rid of stomachaches, losing weight, maintaining weight, gaining weight all require different tweaks.

And just since you mentioned stomachaches in your post, I could probably wright you an essay on how to attempt to treat those But mainly what I have found is that although eating is important, consistent exercise does more for them than eating correctly.
