Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Since the first football sunday is just around the corner it always means to me (well for the last 5 years) a big reunion with the guys and a big lunch. This week I was wondering waht cold kickoff the tradition and so I pondered. I finally tought hey why not glog the arteries of the guys and make a BACON BOMB !
If I'm hosting on game day a few different flavors of wings are usually my standard. If there are a lot of people coming over I'll hang a few racks of ribs in my smoker.
I also have a couple vegan and vegetarian friends so I always have marinated tofu skewers and some big portobellos I can grill up for them (and me I love mushrooms on everything!).
ill make some wings i think, spice up the sauce a bit with a habanero or go get some bdubs sauces. side plate of carrots and celery and a cup of blue cheese
maybe make some dip for the earlier games, chili cheese or artichoke
Weave a full pack of bacon
1 pound (maybe a lil less) of beef mixed with :
Salt, pepper, oregano, smoked paprika, a bit of brown sugar, ketchup and finely diced ogions.
Spread the beef on to the bacon sheet and put more of the spice mix (to the liking) cook the rest of the bacon 'lardon' style' (in big chunks)
No here you add your personnal touch : cheese, peppers etc.
Proceed to roll the beef, when done put both 'loose' bacon ends unde the package and put on a cooking trey. Cook for about 1 1/2 hour at 350f of until you see the bacon starting to crisp.
Make a mashed potato batch (you know the drill I suppose) and add two slices of 'vache qui rit' chees (dont know if you have those in the US). It's somewhat of a creamy chees similiar to the philadelphia chesse but with less tang. If not it's not that bad I know you'll have a nice results.
When near completion:
Take out the bomb and reserve the cooking juice. Put the bomb back in until derving (or whatever you please but since were mostly drunk on sundays I dont want to forget it's out and eat cold).
Start a rue (equal parts of melted butter and flour) and either add some beef stock (or else) to start the sauce or use only the cooking juices, mix and stir until you get the pefect texture (mmmmm bacon gravy !)
Not just put a bed of mashed potato, drop a big slice of the bomb add peas if you like those and shower the plate with the bacon gravy!
And there you have it :-)
I know I know there are not enough CP in the world to thank me loll
