Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Well 5 out of 5 bars means the reception that you are getting is really darn good. 4 out of 5 is serviceable and I find that anything below 3 is just really crummy reception.
It's kind of like how on a cell phone you have the bars of reception to show how well your cell phone is receiving a signal I guess. Sorry I'm really tired tonight lol.

"Maybe if he had an iron suit or a magic hammer...."
I highly doubt it, all of my internet reception is done through my dad's computer and I basically share off of it. His computer is like 8-9 years old lol. I might have to get one for his computer.

Alright so I have no idea what your setup is then dude.
Jake is confused because you are talking about "bars" which indicate some type of wireless. If each computer is plugged into the router via cable, there should be no wireless involved.
Standard RJ-45 cables lose strength too. Also, you can get "bars" even if you're wired. Depends on the OS and installed software.
Wireless: Modem/router -- CABLE -- Router/switch/hub/etc -- NO CABLE -- PC
Wireless: Modem/router -- NO CABLE -- PC
Wired: Modem/router -- CABLE -- Router/switch/hub/etc -- CABLE -- PC
Wired: Modem/router -- CABLE -- PC
When connected, please do this:
Windows XP: Start > Run.. > Type "cmd" without " > Press enter
Windows Vista/7: Start > Search programs and files > Type "cmd" without " > Press enter
Windows 8: Search Apps > Type "cmd" without " > Press enter
In the dos prompt window, type "ipconfig /all" without " > Press enter
Maximize the dos prompt window, take a screendump, upload and pm. I advise against posting it on the forums for everyone to see.
If you're on a bridge connection you will get bars even if your own computer is wired to another computer (wireless). To be precise, you will get both - bars and no bars. Depends on where you're looking.

Older OS (NT/XP/ME). Haven't tested bridge connections and such in newer OS.
