      I like me some water 9 times out of 10. But of the two mentioned I'll take Gatorade over Powerade as it is lower in sugar and a little higher in sodium which is good to have for long duration exercise. The only time I ever drink either is when I am going to be active for longer than an hour or when I begin to cramp up as they help replace electrolytes in the body.

        Poweraid is a terrible product. I made the HUGE mistake of drinking diluted (w water, 50/50) Poweraid during a bicycle race and literally felt my body clogging up and shutting down. As soon as I switched back to pure water, I was fine. I had raced with Gatoraid before and it worked out great (same diluted 50/50).

        IMO, you never want to drink a product like these during major exertion without diluting it with water. The sugar absolutely kills you.
