It has over 900 miles on it now (about 500 of those in the mountains) but I need something new soon. Last year the rear suspension was replaced and had the bottom bracket machined a few weeks ago but that only worked for about 2 days. Replaced the front derailleur and shifter a while ago. Decent bike but I want a 29er as well. Being 6'5" is hard enough on normal sized frames.

My daily commuter, 2010 Kona Major One. It's a single speed/fixed gear cross bike, I ride fixed. I don't have a picture of mine, this is just one off the internet but my looks exactly the same except I have full fenders for cruddy weather and pedal straps

My trail shredder, 2011 Kona Kahuna. Have it set up as a 1x9. Not too many upgrades minus typical grips and saddle. Background is my buddies Kona Tanuki

Next bike is going to be a full suspension 26er, I like to get gnarly and the 29er isnt as easy to throw around as a 26er. Looking at a Kona Process

And lastly, how we occasionally get down

You're right, a 29er is harder to control on technical courses. But, I've never worked less then on a 29er. Once you get 'em goin... they just roll and roll. I may never go back to a 26.

I am 58 with a bad back, so my mountain terrain days are over.
I live on the scottsdale greenbelt so my rides now are almost exclusively on the greenbelt path that rolls to TEMPE, a 16 mile ride from my home.
My trusty steed is now a GIANT TRANSEND, it's a cummuter bike that I got a smoking deal on.
no shocks, disc brakes instead, and it came equiped with 3 items that i NEVER would have purchased on my own, fenders, a kick stand, and a BELL.
                  I found that I LOVE all 3 !
especially the bell, people respond like pavlovian dogs, making me feel like MOSES !
Safe riding to all my fellow cyclists, anyone watching the TOUR?

                    awesome!
I see its equiped with a rear passenger platform, so your cycle-mama can roll with you on the back in a standing position.Nice seat post too, very phallic.

Threw road slicks on the commuter

rides and corners like a dream. I'm averaging like 19mph on my 10 mile commute.
