I have a Pitt Lab mix so I will be one of the first to tell you Pitts get a bad rep. But ours can jump a 6 foot privacy fence with ease. Fortunately he just lays down in the front yard.

But I know what you mean. People who intentionally leave their dogs out front with invisible choke fences kill me. And what you are referring to with no fence at all is even worse.

Those people shouldn't be allowed to own dogs.

People are so caught up these days that animals are just as important as people. And animal rights and all that. And I do love dogs to death and hate animal cruelty.

However people are still far more important. So we have to remember that dogs are still animals. They don't deserve cruelty but they do deserve to be controlled. Because when you let your dogs have freedom this kind of thing happens.
    No they don't.

Yeah it was an accident but it was a pain at the doctor's office because they kept trying to claim that it was a bite since my wife wasn't in the room because she had just left ot go put something in the back but the dog was asleep and you could tell it was a paw scratch. But the doctors just kept on harping it was probably a bite and being really annoying.

But the thing that amazes me though are the number of dogs let to wander without supervision. Or neighbor has 2 pits and they get free so often because the owner is never home and just comes to let them out and leaves with them free in their backyard. It is fenced in but they tore through and managed to get out and they just try to put rocks in the way and silly things like that. We have a guy down the street that lets their dog wander the neighborhood, and they had another dog they did that with and it chased my son into our house and of coarse my son ran in and left the door open so the dog ran into our house wet and jumped on our chair. I wasn't a happy camper.

But I have no idea who that dog belonged to and we got it out of the house and it ran off. Mainly because I was more worried about calming my son down than trying to track that dog. But it just amazes me what people will let their dogs do without keeping tabs on them

Had to take him to the doctor and get stiches, but we couldn't have a dog anymore.

But I have learned things are going to happen and there is no way to protect them forever.

It made me so outraged for like 20-30 minutes that that dog did that for absolutely no reason. That boy was do nothing but playing on his trike. So innocent and had no idea what was happening or why.

Same thing I struggled with two years ago when my mothers maltipoo got mangled by a pitt while out on a walk. The Maltipoo had no idea why this was happening to hit.

So glad that cat was brave enough to go charging and save his owner. But it makes me so concerned with my son now.

I know I can't keep my child locked up in a bubble but it's so hard not to want to when you see stuff like this. The mom was even supervising because she came running but you can't hold their hand forever.

I thought it was a little funny though that the mom ran off and then the boy goes running after her. Brave couple. I would be running inside to get away from the dog. She probably went to rave at the neighbors though. Need to get their dog leashed up. Well put down now.

I always tell my wife the day any of my three dogs puts their mouth on my son will be their last day.

I saw that. I hear about dogs saving people, but a cat? I'm glad the cat did that. The boy could have gotten serious injuries.
