I know Marines call it Boot Camp, but he isn't even a boot yet. So it could just been led astray on purpose by his recruiter so that he can be properly ITed

Recruiters are evil creatures like sending Navy recruting things in the mail to a fellow recruit.

But I've seen Marines called Soldiers by those same misinformed people so that is why I wasn't a 100% sure. Plus I never learned what the other branches called their boot camp. I figure basic was Army but Navy and Air Force I have no Idea.
