Well. It's ok. You said you were a Nascar fan. Turning left all day is hard enough. Navigating this forum is pretty advanced stuff. It's ok. I screwed it up to.

I got an autographed card back in the mail. Who knows if it was an authentic autograph. But who cares I had an Elway autograph. Few years later I traded it for a box of worthless comic books. 15 years pass and I am still carrying around the box of comics. I was so broke once I sold the box of comics for $15 so I could buy some smokes. True story! Don't tell the other guys though.

Back in 1991 my ex-wives sister's ex-boyfriend (got all that :-) won this at a silicon valley company party drawing. Being a 9er fan & Bronco hater he had zero interest in keeping it so gave it to me.

Have no idea if it's even worth anything on the open market, though I'd never part with it
That's awesome vey nice. I would def keep it and not sale it lol.

Thanks! Definitely...though it would be tough to ignore if it had enough zeroes tacked on the end to payoff the mortgage

Sadly, a card like that with no Certificate Of Authenticity(the newer cards have the COA as part of the card now) and it being such a "common" card as well as how "common" his autograph has become wouldn't pay off much of a mortgage.... maybe a tank of fuel for a large SUV, I'd guess. I'd say the sentimental value far exceeds ever selling it.

No problem. Only way I'd consider selling is if I made enough cash to fly to Denver, take Elway out to dinner and have him replace the card autograph with one on my Bronco helmet! Oh ya, AND payoff my mortgage after

I still occasionally buy a pack of cards to take me back to nostaligic days. I have all of my Broncos cards in a box stored away, plus two Elway Rookie cards.

I used to think they were my way from rags to riches, and now I just realize they are awesome memories of my youth. I used to love recess for the trades that would take place! Beckett card magazine that gave me a price and then going to the local card shop like I know how much this worth and this is what I want. Trade a card or two for a few packs of cards and life was good!
