migraine sufferers

    Hey pal....my gut tells me you are dealing with a tougher situation than I. I am quite sure of it. And I do hope you can manage the situation without having to take too many meds. Somedays there's little choice, but as we've discussed before, some things work well for some of us. Exercising often helps still, as do stretches when my neck area cause the headache. Sometimes they subside without need for a pill. Sometimes a drink would help, but sometimes it made it worse.

    I'm sure they are painful. I don't know that mine are worse or easier to handle than anyone else. I've just learned through the years what my pain tolerance is. I typically try to just let them pass on their own or with a natural remedy, if they're not migraine related. Not always an option. That sounds painful. Hope you have a treatment that works well for you. Amazing what stretching can do for pain relief and just general wellness. I know I sleep better when I stretch more, at least when it's the last hour before bed.

    I hate all forms of headaches. lol. I've learned a lot over the years. Wish I knew early on how many headache medicines cause rebound headaches.... the more you know. I typically try to just let them pass on their own or with a natural remedy, if they're not migraine related. Not always an option. That sounds painful. Hope you have a treatment that works well for you. Amazing what stretching can do for pain relief and just general wellness.     When I get up the nerve to give myself a shot, and begin the next treatment. I'll be taking Aimovig. Have read a lot of reviews from people who said nothing else worked and this was the one. Read a lot of reviews of horror stories on side effects, so still haven't gotten the nerve to take this crap that has been in my fridge for 3 weeks. We'll see.

    I dislike taking too many meds, and I hate some forms of headaches!!! New versions of them as a result of arthritic neck/upper back area. So far not too bad, but. Have to stretch more, which is becoming my MO these days. I get lots of practice reaching for snacks in the cupboards!!

    Thank you, Peanut! I'll be honest I had no idea there was such a variety, but intend to try a couple and see how it goes.

    Peanut knows how delicious they are



    Seems like for a food to be a trigger, it's always something we love to eat often. I would have never thought peanut butter was an issue until I tested going without it. With me, seems like once something's a trigger it is always a trigger. It kicks in pretty quick with the few foods I've found to be triggers. Even if it didn't happen every time though, no food is worth it...
    Lots of nut butters to choose from. Sunflower, walnut, pecan, cashew, macadamia and, of course, hazelnut (with chocolate). I've had hazelnut and almond. Not too bad. Hope you find one you like that doesn't trigger migraines.

    Me too! Has always been a comfort food! Thank you for asking that question. I had not thought about trying something else, like maybe Almond Butter. Not sure how similar the two are, but it might help ease the pain of having to give up peanut butter a little.

    Sucks that you're going through that. Almonds and salmon were two of my triggers. Two things I ate religiously. It didn't happen all the time though, but the fact that I couldn't predict when the food would trigger a migraine was frustrating.

    I'm sorry you're still going through this. Glad the meds are helping.

    Peanut butter has been my "comfort" food the last couple of months. I just found out that it's the same for hubby. We were wondering why the peanut butter was disappearing. Do you think a different nut butter would be okay for you?

    I was Rolando McClain pretty much.

    We ate at a place called Dig Inn. I think it's only in New York, or at least just the east coast. I regretted the decision because of the $$$ spent but it was sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooood.
