  • The One

When you met your spouse, was it instant chemistry like in "Sleepless In Seattle" or was it more like "When Harry Met Sally", where you knew each other and were friends for years first? I only ask, because I never got to experience it

I hunted, chased and caught of course
Been in a few relationships, but not met "the one". My last relationship in my mid thirties grew from friendship and although it lasted four years there was something missing. It's now seven years since we split mutually but we remain good friends.

That's how most love stories start!!! "I'm in love with a strip....." uh....

In all honesty.... the kids' mom and I were friends in High School. We hit it off right away and there was always an undercurrent or tension between us that never fully materialized until I graduated two years behind her and was no longer in High School.

I've had that "instant" thing one other time after the kids' mom and split up(geez.. it's been 12 years!!!). But it didn't work out either.

Update. She told me today, 30 minutes ago, that she wanted to see if I was "the one" also.

My wife and I met at college and were married a year before we graduated (i.e., "the campus couple") We will celebrate our 46th anniversary next month. Our wedding was conducted at Top of the World State Park in Colorado (which I think has been closed in recent years due to fires)

My wife and I started getting serious when we were serving in children’s ministry together.
