We've moved a number of times. Once my company did all the work, as part of a job opportunity. That was easy!
But this has been our hardest move ever! Now, moving from a house to a condo often does require the rightsizing of needs, which includes a load of work, including various sales, donations to charity and so on. We are fortunate that the new place is still pretty big, but less "hiding spots", like basements.
But it's been decades since our last move, and some of the processes (and costs) are not quite as friendly! Not to mention how many points of contact putting you in a queue to talk to them. Seems like we've been working a bit every day for the last 2-3 months, fixing up the house, buying and selling, and doing all the chores that come with moving.
It is a good thing though, because I feel comfortable that if anything happens to me, my wife will be able to stay in this place, though it would be a bit roomy, for as long as she wanted to...without having to do another move. That's my plan anyway.
How bout you folks, movin been ok for you?
