I don't doubt that you know what you talk about. But, how am I supposed to just take your word and take it as it's weight in Gold but other doctors are wrong for speaking out? Can't you see my dilemma....or the hundreds of thousands like me? When we have so many differing opinions on the severity of this. Sooooo many doctors out there are saying don't panic, it's ok and treatable. And then there are others saying it is one of the worst viruses to have ever hit humanity. Who's right and who's wrong?

Here's one of those doctors: Stella Immanuel.

Immanuel, a pediatrician and a religious minister, has a history of making bizarre claims about medical topics and other issues. She has often claimed that gynecological problems like cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches.

Yeah, I'll go with the guy who knows a little something about pandemics and research.

Fauci is on record saying the Covid wouldn’t be an issue for the US (Jan. 21 2020), he also said we didn’t need to wear mask.

Do you understand how a virus is identified and studied? Just because a virus appears doesn't automatically mean people know EVERYTHING about it. You study, research, perform tests, and LEARN about it. That is called science - something a lot of you don't believe in or care about.

As for your quote - you seem to be cherry picking a little bit for your favor.

          Here are the quotes: https://www.statesman.com/news/20200...rry-aboutrsquo

Fauci did say twice in late January, when there was one reported COVID-19 case in the U.S., that American shouldn’t worry about the virus. But Bannon omits an important detail: Both times, Fauci sadded that the situation could change.
The same thing goes for the masks. At the time when people were hoarding toilet paper and sanitizer, what do you think would have happened to the mask supply for health care workers and the population? He also acknowledged that masks were initially not recommended to the general public so that first responders wouldn’t feel the strain of a shortage of PPE.

We also learned more about how the virus was transmitted from research and studies - thus, the advice to wear masks in public.

            Gotchya.

The 'experts' didn't believe people would come out when the shops and bars re-opened due to fear, but anyone with any sense knows that people just want to live a normal life and they would come out in their droves.

You have zero idea of how people view masks in this country, and if you think the retail sector will not be massively hit then you are completely and utterly clueless.

Ok, you cherry pick one doctor with a wacky mindset. Faucci told Trump in 2017 that he has a great chance of facing "some kind of a pandemic" little weird he is the one we are supposed to listen to when he knew it was coming.

He knew it was coming!! And I'm supposed to believe anything that falls out of his mouth....right

I find it absolutely hilarious that there are actual doctors out there working with patients that are telling America that drugs like hydroxychloroquine or just zink or quinine Will work wonders for this virus. But as soon as that is said Dr faucci and his puppets automatically say " there's no test to prove that " so I should just believe Dr Faucci and not other doctors?
TO the contrary, there are published studies showing it doesn't work. Those you should believe. There is actual scientific processes involved instead of just blindly listening because someone with a medical degree says it.

Some peer reviewed scientifically conducted journals showing medically backed evidence that it DOES NOT WORK and FURTHERMORE can cause heart problems in some patients...

My understanding isn’t important, it’s Fauci the expert.
Fauci the expert was wrong. He’s suppose to be the expert, and the person our leaders depend on. For a Pandemic expert he blew it in the beginning.

Hahahahahha keep it coming please. My co-workers are getting a kick out of a few of you.

I'm bowing out of this thread for a bit. My brain hurts trying to talk logic to people.

                    • If you've every been to college, you understand the importance of scholarly sources and being able to back your data scientifically...

Someone having a degree doesn't make them right, someone being able to back their claims up SCIENTIFICALLY with scholarly sources, makes them far more believable and reliable than some random doctors on facebook...

These doctors are straight up modern snake oil salesmen.

He said we wouldn’t be effected and didn’t need to wear masks, do you call that getting it right?

He prefaced it with saying it was based off current info and could change. Again... People don't know how a virus will react in the early stages, they have to make best estimate guesses based on available data. When more data becomes available to them, the picture becomes clearer and some of the things they thought they knew in the beginning when there was limited data prove to be incorrect. Not a difficult concept to grasp here...

How ever you want to excuse his mistakes, he messed up in the beginning and then in my opinion was afraid to be wrong and no longer was useful, like a Qb who is afraid to throw a pick.
He is the expert period, if people want to exalt him as the guy I have a hard time trusting him based on his first couple decisions. The WHO wasn’t much better.

Science can't explain everything. I'm a Christian, I believe what I believe because of what my Bible teaches. Should I believe science over faith and teaching?
