We live in a sometimes gutless era, where anonymous people can shame or try to eliminate people/companies, for whatever reason. Occasionally justified. Definitely not always.

This was not really a thing not that long ago. I do remember however the way certain meaner bosses would cut off staff they did not care for, by not inviting them to meetings and such, which eventually made them less valuable and unimportant. Same applies to how certain group leader types would try to eliminate someone within the group they did not care for. In these cases, usually the process was unkind.

Though there are a few valid reasons for this approach, I still prefer the old fashioned way (in most cases) where you give folks a chance to redeem themselves, or at least explain their position, Sometimes thinking different is valuable to the end game.
