  • Best Albums of 04'

With the Grammies and all that stuff coming up soon, I was wondering what some of you guys thought the best albums of 04' were.
    My Top 5
    1. Future Leaders of the World: LVL 5. Simply amazing, pure rock. Anyone who likes Nirvana, Shinedown, Soundgarden, and other bans like that should check this album out. I can't really describe how great this album is.

    2. Green Day: American Idiot. More than just punk rock. Great songs, great lyrics, great theme. Not much else to say.

    3. Rammstein: Reise Reise. Even though I can't understand half the lyrics, I thought this album was pretty damn good. They've grown out of just being a heavy metal band.

    4. Earshot: 2. A band that doesn't get the praise they deserve.

    5. Tom Waits: Real Gone. I was so excited he put out a new album. Some of the best work in his long music career.

I may be showing my age here, but IMO the best album of the year, by far, was "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" by the still-great U2

I thought The Strokes Room on Fire was very good, but for all i know, that came out last year.

NJ I was going to give you some points for this because for some reason I thought it was hilarious....however I must spread the love first....*grrr* hehe.

Anyhoo, I've not been paying much attention to albums being that I have no money to purchase them...so I can't really answer this question yet.
