  • why is it that people can't read?

I don't mind that every time a player comes on the market, someone invariably thinks he'd be a good pick up for Denver. WHile its silly, it's ok. Its not a big deal. They just want to see the team improve.

But why oh why are there always multiple threads about it?

If you do not know how to use the search function, PLEASE ASK!

If you are afraid of asking, at the VERY least, please go take a look in all of th relevant forums it could be in before you post.

And I am not saying this because I am lazy.

I am saying this because I don't think people have any idea how lazy and dumb they are percieved to be when they post a new thread on an already existing topic.

    There's a search function?

    (Just kidding..... )

Even if they don't use the search function, they could at least scan down the page to see if maybe there aren't already five posts on the same thing. Not that difficult.

I think that this occurrence can be better attributed to vanity.
I've walked these streets, a loaded six-string on my back, I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back, I've been everywhere still I'm standin' tall, I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all!!:salute!:

Hmm. What does a piece of furniture have to do with it? Actually, I'm sure that explains some of the repeat posts but not all of them. I'm sure some of the repeaters just are too lazy to bother checking the other threads. Oh, well, there are worse things in the world than repeat posters.

In what way? Its makes them look good to report 'news' that's hours or even days old? That everyone already knows?

I think dumb just about hits it on the head. Or completely unaware of how many people are here that also read all of the same sources.

How can you increase your posts if you don't put as many threads as you can ?

Jared, IDK, but I think people don't take time to do so... (me first... I apologize)... But nevermind : the most thread there are, the most people I discover... That's a good deal, don't you think so ?

I guess I believe that they would rather talk then listen. Probably not an abundance of deep thought either.

I try to stand by the value "If what you're saying doesn't directly add value to the thread, don't post it." (I know most things I say are of little value, but I try.) I see a lot of people who post a lot of little irrelevant things just to fill up boards and threads with their name. What's irrelevant though changes from board to board. Like in Anything but Football, you can't really go off-topic because the whole board is off-topic and pretty lax, but in GD's it's really easy for people to run astray. I don't like making my own threads, I usually only reply, and only if I feel I can add something to the discussion (I know no one's perfect, but posting in moderation could be a good thing.)

I wouldn't be against enacting a 1 thread-start per day policy and/or a post limit, that might slow down the clutter some.

Nah chill with that, while it would probably eliminate alot of clutter, look at from both sides, it would probably eliminate alot fo quality posts. While it is obnoxious to see old news posted like it just happend, but at the same time things can happen from hour to hour and someone may need to make a thread about something that just happend. I mean, I know people in here with NFL network and Sirius radio and such hear things rumors/news/etc sometimes waaaaaaay before NFL.com even puts it up, I mean, the Randy Moss thing STILL hasnt got any attention on nfl's site. So I dont think putting a restriction on posts and threads is a very good idea.

What i hate even more than people doing that (though at times i have on accident, i look around but usually assume if its about broncos its in gen dis an sumtimes it isnt an stuff like that) is that everyone is sayin to go an spend about 15 mill up to keep or get this player or that player
