Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

How has society gotten worse in the last 100 years?
Yes, it is has. Of course that is just my opinion . What our society deems acceptable today has grown worse. Sure there were problems in society 100 years ago. I just don't think that it was worse than what we see everyday in today's world. Underage promiscuity, underage pregnancies, abortion, murder, the way kids behave in general, divorce, hatefulness, apathy, pornography, etc. I am not saying that these things did not exist 100 years ago, but I am saying that they are more prevalent today. I think back then people were more prone to call problems, problems. And excuses were just excuses. Today we have a soft way of looking at things and not wanting to hurt anybody's feelings. Even if their actions are going to mess their lives up. Morally our society has gotten worse in the last 100 years, IMO.
Yes, we have more "rights". In many cases it has made society better. But in some cases "rights" don't make things right. Does that make sense?
Thanks for covering for me while I was gone BBJ.

Patriotic dissent is a luxury of those protected by better men than they.

I think there was the same and maybe more problems 100 years ago. It is because of the media that we notice the problems more now. Back then these things happened and to say they didn't happen as much would be a lie. People murdered just as much, got pregnant as much, had under age sex as much and surley looked at porn as much. It is just that people didn't talk about it back then. I will agree with the children behavior though, I have noticed that. I think that is because both parents tend to work now a days and the are with the children less. So I believe they act up just because it gets them attention.

Good point. The media does make things seem more prevalent. But child pornography, beastiality, sexual immorality are the things that I am talking about that have become more common. And yes, people might have gotten pregnant as much, but they were also taught to be responsible for their actions. Something that doesn't seem to be happening today. The break down of the family has, IMO, caused the most problems facing society today.

See I have to disagree with the whole sex part, because people have been freely having sex with what ever they want, for forever. I'm sure under age sex happened quite often in the "Wild West". Those guys were beast, what would stop them from having sex with children? I understand what you are saying though and I think it spawns from your religious beliefs. It does seem like more religious people are doing more unreligious things, if that is what you are referring too. I also think it is because there is a whole lot of more people in the USA than 100 years ago, so it seems to happen more when if you check the % of people doing it, it will probably be the same as 100 years ago.
