  • Ever physically react to a dream?

I've been watching a lot of vampire related movies and TV shows recently. Last night, I ended up having a dream about a vampire attacking me (big surprise) that felt extremely real. At one point, the vampire had a hand on my shoulder and was pushing my head to the side, he bared his fangs and was bending in to bite my neck. That was when I woke up with a yell and actually slapped my neck and was surprised when there wasn't a vampire's head there.

I just found it freaky that my dream affected me so much that I physically reacted to it that way. Anything like that happen to any of you?

I can remember having a dream where my brother was killed in it and I woke up in tears. (Which was strange because we fought like cats and dogs)
I've walked these streets, a loaded six-string on my back, I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back, I've been everywhere still I'm standin' tall, I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all!!:salute!:

Interestingly enough. Some people feel the pain they may suffer in their dreams. I have had it before, where i was stabbed in a dream only to wake up with a bad pain in the same spot. This usually only happens in the dreams that seem very real, and as pain is caused by your brain telling you, you have been hurt, if its a particuly vivid dream, it can get confused.
"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high."

I have a bit of a phobia of wasps and things that like to sting, and woke up several times to find myself arching my neck to keep a yellow jacket from stining me there, or it is already stinging me and I'm trying to get it off or kill it. It is the same recurring dream but usually ends with a different physical reaction. Makes me wonder what it all means.

This has happened to me many times. I've woken up crying, laughing, or cringing in pain. Of course my favorite is waking up rock solid with wet shorts , although that hasn't happened to me in quite some time. I've heard that's natures way of getting rid of the excess load and I've noticed in the past I only got them when I'd go several days without release.

I went on a little mini-series of dreams a while back where I was attacked/mauled by bears. One of them actually killed me, and that was weird because in the dream it was like I was watching myself get mauled...and I was being mauled at the same time...and I woke up from that all worked up and freaked out a bit.

I also had a dream the other night that was sort of a Jurassic Park thing. I was attacked by a T-Rex...and that scared the hell out of me and woke me up and I was all sweaty and looking around and then what sucked was that the dream continued when I fell back asleep again.

What sucks/is cool about when I dream (which may be true for most) is that I dream in full color, and sound and everything. It's like watching a movie in a huge theater on a big screen, with surround sound and all that.

I went through a period of time where I had dreams about being in the middle of dog-fights (in fighter jets) and those were kickass...

I had a dream once, many years ago, where I was sitting Indian style on the floor in some dark dingy room. When I look down at myself I see my stomach is slice open and my intestines are spilling out on my lap. Then for some unknown reason, I grab a knife and fork and start digging in. I ate like two bits of it, which the most nasty taste. I'm not sure how I would know how that taste, maybe it is what I expect it to taste like, but either way it was nasty. I woke up and almost throw up all over the place. I can still vagely remember today. I'm not sure if that physically reacting or not.
