Both. It depends on what my boss needs/wants from a o-lineman.

foot and hand technique are important. Run blocking and pass blocking should be weighed equally, to me.

Does he take plays off? Does he sustain his blocks? Doe he run downfield to block? How fast does he run downfield to block? WHat d-line moves seem to give him trouble? If any, is it poor technique, or a genuine lack of strength/skill? Can he play more than one position? Does he read defenses well for stunts and blitzes? can he adjust when a play is busted? How often is he penalized?

I am sure a recruiter has TON more than this to come up with a grade.

      I file that under positioning...
I've walked these streets, a loaded six-string on my back, I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back, I've been everywhere still I'm standin' tall, I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all!!:salute!:

BVP! I love to hear that! I feel like WE all got through to you tonight.

It is important tonight, because tommorrow is the day when all the immature complaining and whining is gonna start. You have a golden opportunity to show leadership here. The coach is watching you. He will see the maturity you show. Next thing you know, you are the Team Captain say... in your Senior Year (when it counts!). And the Coach takes you aside, and says the Coach "You know, I saw right away that you were a leader and Captain material by the way you helped the team accept the road we were forced to go down. Boy," Coach will say " I am impressed with your maturity and leadership!"

Hey, it could happen! It all starts tommorrow. And maybe not in a huge, Eddie Murphy way, just in small steps at the right time, you showing the great stuff you have within you, when it is needed here and there. This first day could set the stage. You help a few others nip it in the bud, it will be a lot easier, and a better season down the road.

Miserable complaining all summer about it will be like a cancer eating at the team, you can help stop that from happening.

Less than 1% of all HS players ever get an NFL contract.

Thank you for all of your help PainterDave. And thank you everybody else. I know that at first it might be hard, but I will have to get over it and just help produce and help lead the team in the right direction.

Sounds like a team captain talking.

Thank you for that fact. And I think I will use that for motivation.

By the way, do you mind if I use that Quote?

Yes, I have been a captain all of my life, and I am not planning on that to change.

Thanks. It has great meaning to me. And if I stay focused on my goal, my dreams will come true.
