Does anybody else have a pet that HAS to be on your lap, or in the immediate vicinity, when you're online?

My cat HAS to be next to me, it seems
He'll jump up on my lap, causing me great pain in reaching the keyboard. Or lay on the table next to me, with his head on my arm.
And if I don't pay him any attention, he just rears back and starts to biting me - - purring the whole time.

I dont have that problem because my dad would kill any animal I brought into the house...

Needless to say... he doesn't like them...

My cat needs to be on my lap or in the cubby hole of my desk when I'm at the computer. It's really annoying, because it makes me feel guilty if I don't shower her with attention when she's here.

I have two cats. They both like my lap.
Especially when I'm on the computer or reading.

My cat likes to jump up and look out the window. If its closed, he'll stretch out as long as he can and paw at the blinds, which tells me "OPEN THE WINDOW"!!!!
          Then poof, he's gone.
A minute later, he's bouncing off my lap onto the desk. And when it's dark in here, it tends to 'rattle' me.

          He's a talker, too.
He'll make that sound. The one you can't imitate by typing. But sounds like a distant machine gun. Then he'll rub up against me and give me a nibble.

How anybody could get more affection from a dog, is beyond me. I can't stand the sucking up they do.

I have a dog and two cats. The only one that's actually mine is one of the cats though.

The dog is a tad needy... but I love her anyway.

I don't have a computer at home but my dogs definitely follow me around everywhere. One of them loves being under a blanket, and she won't leave you alone if you are covered up and don't let her join you.
                My other love...

If my dog's inside he'll go in cycles. He goes to the couch and rubs all the way along it, then he comes to me and gives me the wet nose on the elbow so I have to pet him for a while, then back to couch, then back to the computer chair. He's so funny

I've got 10 stone of dog that keeps trying to squeeze into the leg space under my desk. If I'm using my laptop elsewhere in the house (or garden) like now, he'll either lie alongisde the sofa, or try to curl up on it next to me.

It's a right sod trying to keep the hair out of the laptop, but I love him anyway

About 140lbs, actually he's probably closer to 9, but I'm sure you get the idea.

And damned if he hasn't got that delightful habit of putting his paws and joints in just the right place to cause maximum discomfort, if you know what I mean

I have a cat that racks me now and then when he jumps on my lap. He weighs the better part of two stone though.

Like how I learned your lingo there? I'm smooth I tell you, smooth. Smooth like a stone... oof.. I made it old now. I'm such a rock sometimes. It's hard to be funny... sometimes I get petrified and humor is my only response. Granite, it's a human reaction, but I shale always expect quartz from me when others give pints.

... this has gotten old already hasn't it? But really, some puns are pure gold.

Maybe I need to start drinking more instead of smoking less...
