  • Omg....

our little 9 month old dashuand got out today and he came back limping.....we did not know what exctly happened.

but he has a broken leg, and the surgery is well not 100% to work and is very expensive.

i love him and its my sisters dog and she got it for he 8 year old birthday....

i dont know what we should do....this is the worst feeling in the world?

Ya dealing with doggie injuries are tough. Its always hard to decide what exactly to do. Just give the dog love, and never give up hope

That is kind of what happend to my dog, except, she got run over, and got a broken leg, and a broken pelvis. The surgery wasn't even 90% expected to work, and it was very expensive. We decided to put her to sleep. That was the sadest moment of my life so far.

Nothing is too good or expensive for my doggie.

Hope they are able to take of the lil guy and make him better.

In a situation like the one DB56 is in right now, it would be best to leave a story like that one out..

            yeah thanks.

we had to leave him there they are doing a examination on him and stuff right now.

and we have to go back in 1 hour.

            so we will see....

i really hope he will be ok...but if it comes down to that the leg wont heal and amputation is the best option...i think putting him to sleep would be better for him, not that i wouldnt pay for it, but he is a young puppy and loves to play ball and be active...and he would not be able to do that with out his leg

Well, I hope all the best for you and your family at this moment of sadness.

But even if you have to ampatate his leg, I have many active 3 legged dogs before. It doesnt change their life so much, that they cant even play ball.

It's still a puppy it can easily learn to walk or run with three legs. If this happened to my dog I would tell them to do what's best for the dog. I doubt they are going to tell you should put it to sleep because of a broken leg. I would say if it's really having a tough time with whatever they do for it, then put it to sleep but I wouldn't just becasue, "it might not be affective"

Has anyone else ever seen that dog that was born without front legs and now walks only on its hindlegs.

we went back to get him, and they said the leg broke in 3 places... but if we gave him his medicine and on tuesday took him to get surgery and stuff, he would regain his leg and have all movement.

so we are going to do surgery, i thank you all for your support and i will keep you updated
