  • What is the best Candy???

At my son's Birthday party yesterday, there was a Pinata and of course it was filled with candy....got me thinking...
When I was little, I used to love Lemonheads and Boston Baked Beans...
I'm definitaly more of a chocoholic now....Lord, I love chocolate...
I like those Shock-Tarts when I need a break from the nasty coffee aftertaste while I'm at work...
or gum, I usually chew Orbit Winter-fresh or whatever flavor it is...

I would have to say that the best Candy bar is a Caramello....oh, yeah...that's the stuff ....They're really good with coffee...just take a chunk of Cramello and then a sip of coffee and let the coffee do the work...mmm tasty...
I've walked these streets, a loaded six-string on my back, I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back, I've been everywhere still I'm standin' tall, I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all!!:salute!:

There is this one candy company here in Colorado, called Mountain Man Fruits & Nuts. They have this one candy, called Deep In The Red, and in the candy is:

        Red Licorice
        Cherry Fruit Sours
        Sweedish Fish
        Cinnamon Bears
        Cherry Flavored Bears
        and more.

That is my favorite kind of candy to be honest. But you can't find it any where in stores.

Fuzzy Peaches are good, as are Sour Cherries.

I'm allergic to peanuts, so my favourite bars would be Mars, and Twix.

Just Born candies rock. Bethelehem, PA representin!

I played little league across the street from the factory. (The field no longer exists, unfortunately).

Anyway, yum. The smell of candy in the air.

My greatest athletic achievement was hitting a homer out of the park, across Stefko Blvd. and into their parking lot and busting up a windshield when I was 12. I just got lucky and hit the ball JUST so, off of fastball pitcher. ANd the wind was strong and blowing the right way.

I probably couldn't do that now if I tried. Freak thing. It was almost 350 ft. That's insane even for an average adult. Like I said, too many conditions I got lucky with.

So, Mike & Ikes have an emotional tug for me.

But I gotta go with chocolate. Hershey's.

Everybody's gotta elevate from the norm...

I grew up there, yes. He and I have talked before about this. My family all still lives there.

I haven't lived there full time since I was in high school.

I like Sweet Tarts, Baby Ruth bars, and 100 Grand bars.

But my favorite would probably be from a local company called See's Candies. They are a smaller outfit. They make one called Scoth Kiss's. No, no booze in it, lol.
It's a marshmallow wrapped in caramel. My mom and I always send them to each other for our birthdays.

                        *shrug*

                        dunno. Never took a tour.

Don't even know if they give tours.

Took a tour of the Crayola factory though. That's near where I grew up too. THAT was cool. What 6 year old doesn't like free crayons?

And of course, taking the Hershey tour rocks.

Cool. When I go back out to Boston, my family was thinking about going around Penn, and taking a couple of tours.
